Quality Improvement and Clinical Issues

Quality Improvement (QI) and Clinical Issues staff perform a variety of functions to enhance immunization services and increase opportunities to vaccinate Florida's population at all ages. These functions include:

  • Quality Improvement reviews of County Health Departments (CHDs)
  • Vaccine-preventable disease (VPD) tracking
  • Production and printing services for all bureau pamphlets, posters, forms and other printed materials
  • Participation in development and analysis of proposed laws and rules affecting immunization services in the state.
  • Preparation and distribution of the bureau's newsletter
  • Production and maintenance of bureau Web sites
  • Communication with Florida's citizens requesting assistance with questions such as state immunization requirements, tracking of immunization status and locating opportunities to receive vaccinations
  • Provide access to training opportunities such as CDC satellite broadcasts and on-line training courses.
