2009 Florida Immunization Summit
Immunizations Across the Lifespan

The Suwannee River Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of Immunization, are pleased to announce the 2009 Florida Immunization Summit to be held May 5-6, 2009, at the Marriott Tampa Airport.

The theme of the 2009 summit is Immunizations Across the Lifespan. Multiple workshop and plenary sessions will bring together local, state, federal, and private-sector immunization partners to address a variety of immunization topics. The program will highlight Florida's immunization accomplishments, identify challenges, and present strategies to achieve immunization goals for childhood, adolescent, and adult vaccination.

  • Target Audience: This immunization summit is appropriate for physicians, nurses, social workers, and all other public health professionals who wish to learn more about immunizations.
  • Summit Registration: Pre-registration will be announced soon.
  • Continuing Education Credits: Continuing education credits will be available (pending approval) from the Suwannee River AHEC.
  • Accommodations: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Marriott Tampa Airport, Tampa International Airport, Tampa, FL. The room rate for conference participants is $139 per night, plus tax.
